Description: The bull frog ( Rana catesbeiana) is the largest North American frog, ranging in length from 9 to 20 cm. Its natural range was primarily the eastern to central United States. However, it was introduced into areas west of the Rocky Mountains as well as Mexico, a few countries of Europe, and various islands of the Caribbean and Hawaii.
