Description: Macrothrix is a common genus of Macrothricidae. Note that all the macrothricid photos are from slide material and are pink because of a stain, probably lignin pink. Macrothrix specimens are often found scurrying along the top of the substratum or found in vegetation. Photograph: Randy Mandryk.
